VeloCity EV Announces 220-Station Fast-Charging Network Across Central Europe
VeloCity EV has announced a 220-station fast-charging network covering major motorway corridors and urban centres across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic.
VeloCity EV, a charging infrastructure developer, today announced the deployment of 220 fast-charging stations across Central Europe, covering all major motorway corridors and 18 urban centres in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic.
All 220 stations will be operational by Q4 2026. Each station features a minimum of 4 charging points at 150kW DC output, with 40 flagship stations offering ultra-rapid 350kW chargers and covered canopies. 100% of energy supplied through the network is covered by renewable energy certificates (RECs).
“Range anxiety is the single biggest barrier to EV adoption for the 40% of people without home charging access,” said VeloCity CEO Petra Maurer. “220 stations on the routes people actually drive eliminates that barrier in one of Europe’s most important automotive markets.”
VeloCity has secured grid connections for all sites and signed lease agreements covering 85% of planned locations. Remaining sites are expected to be confirmed within 60 days.
Charging will be available via the VeloCity app, RFID card, or contactless payment. Pricing starts at €0.39/kWh.
